Constantly experimenting with artistic style, Motif explores the parallels between the ongoing destruction of the natural world and the inner self-critic. Much of her work illustrates the many faces of her community, and of humanity. Overall, her goal is to create paintings that invite sustained interaction and that continually provoke introspection. As a painter, Motif hopes that in forming their own interpretations, viewers reflect on their relationships with themselves, with others, and with the natural world.
As she grows into narrative painting, she often integrates themes of anti-imperialism, and the exploitation of the masses and our natural resources. Motif paints with the hope that viewers question their governing institutions and heed the warnings of the natural world.
